Melissa McCary

I have been teaching at Rasor Elementary, since 2004. I have taught special education and first grade. Out of all those years, the majority of my time has been in second grade, which I absolutely love this age. I am a product of the Plano ISD, as I started at the very beginning of any child’s life in Kindergarten. I then graduated from Plano East Senior High. After finishing high school I then went onto Stephen F. Austin State University and graduated in December of 2002 with my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I am married to an amazing man named Mike for 18 years and we have two incredible children. Brandon, who will be a Junior at Plano East and Connor will be in 7th grade at Murphy Middle. As well, as those two crazy boys, I also have a Yorkie named Daisy and a Tabby cat named Macie.

Pam Hackney

Ms. Hackney earned her BSE in Deaf Education from the University of Arkansas and has certifications in Elementary Education and Kindergarten. She has a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of North Texas. Ms. Hackney has taught elementary school as well as middle school in the Plano ISD system. She is excited to be in second grade and cannot wait to have an excellent year at Rasor Elementary!

Kim Kirby Hello, I am Allison Sawyer. I grew up in Houston, Texas. As many proper native Houstonians, my favorite basketball team will forever be the Rockets no matter how poorly they play. I came to Dallas when I had the amazing opportunity to study at the University of Texas at Dallas. I really have enjoyed living in Dallas with my wonderful hubby (Kyle) and our two fur babies (Bentley and Maya) for the past 6 years. I have had the blessing of being able to teach Kindergarten, Second, and Third Grade. I absolutely think being able to teach my leaders is the bee's knees and have enjoyed getting to know all the learners that have passed through my classroom door. When I am teaching you can always find me with my favorite teaching tool coffee or a big smile on my face. I cannot wait to meet all y’alls little learners and I am looking forward to have another rock solid year!
